The  Ministry of Public Works and Communications  was created in 1854 under the name of WAR, MARINE AND PUBLIC WORKS, then on December 28, 1959 it was known as the SECRETARY OF STATE OF PUBLIC WORKS AND COMMUNICATIONS, name given by law on November 28, 1966. Finally, through decree 56-10 of February 8, 2010 that changes the names of Secretaries by ministries, this passes from the State Department of Public Works and Communications (SEOPC) to the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC).
