The Ministry of Security is a national body, dependent on the Executive Branch, which has the mission of guaranteeing compliance with public policies for the security of citizens.

Its mission is to assist the President of the Nation in all matters concerning internal security, the preservation of the freedom, life and heritage of the inhabitants, their rights and guarantees within a framework of full validity of the institutions of the democratic system.
