The main mission of the Ministry of Transport is to monitor and implement the Government's transport policy with a view to modernizing the Ivorian transport system.

Goals

The structures of the Ministry of Transport must achieve the following specific objectives:

• Improve the institutional, legal and organizational framework of the transport sector;
• Organize transport activities;
• Promote the development of transport;
• Promote an available, sufficient and quality transport service offer;
• Improve the accessibility of socio-occupational groups to transport services;
• Facilitate carriers' access to bank credits.
• In accordance with these specific objectives defined to respond to the concerns of the population, the actions and activities of the Ministry of Transport fall within the strategic axis No. 4 of the Government Work Program (PTG) namely, ensure the revival of economic infrastructure and the modernization of the transport system.

The Ministry is also supported by a number of private structures, over which it exercises supervisory control
