Ministry of Water Resources (MoWR) Iraq

The Ministry of Water Resources is a ministry within the government of Iraq. Currently headed by Moshen al-Shammari, it is responsible for water management, including maintenance of the extensive system of irrigation canals and dams and other related tasks.

VISION

Water resources development and conservation to achieve sustainable water security and environmental conservation in Iraq. 

MISSION

Develop and protect water resources by developing strategies and programs to create integrated water policies, follow up on their implementation and preserve our common water rights.
