The Ministry of Women, Family and Human Rights (MMFDH) is responsible for the interministerial and intersectoral articulation of policies to promote and protect Human Rights in Brazil. Its current structure comes from the former Special Secretariats of the Presidency of the Republic: the Secretariat for Human Rights (SDH), the Secretariat for Policies for Women (SPM), the Special Secretariat for Policies for the Promotion of Racial Equality (Seppir) and the National Youth Secretariat (SNP).
As of 2019, the Federal Government adopted as a measure of transparency the disclosure of legal requirements, main responsibilities, training, experience and skills that define the desirable professional profile for occupying senior management positions in the structure of each Ministry.
