Monenco, a leading global provider of professional engineering and consulting services in Iran was formed in 1973 as a joint venture between the private sector of Iran and Montreal Engineering Company of Canada and started its activities in Iran energy industry. In 1999 Government of Iran sold its share to Iranian private sector. Also AMEC of England acquired the share of Monenco Agra of Canada. Since then, Monenco Iran became a private entity and Mapna, AMEC, and Mir Company (Employees' share) became the main share holders of Monenco.

In addition, development and evolution through Monenco's objectives and plans have been the main pattern for the past 40 years.
