Mongolian Foundation for Science and Technology (MFST) was established by the Resolution 192 of the Government of Mongolia, dated on December 24, 1993. The operational guideline was approved by the Joint order ref. 113\100 of the Minister of the Education, Culture, Science and Sport and the Minister of Finance, dated on May 19, 1994. Activities and functions are defined by the Mongolian law on Science and Technology and by the rule of MFST, approved by the National Science Technology Council in 1998. The Foundation commits research funds, provides sustaining funding, controls the disbursement of the research and experimental development, commercializes the results of the Research and Development Works and compiles financial report and reports on research results
