Mote Oo aims to promote social change through context appropriate materials and services for the non-formal adult education sector. We support community educators in building a just and peaceful society through teacher training and curriculum development.
Mote Oo was formed in January 2013 by staff with many years experience working in Myanmar education. We design social science, civic education, teacher education and language learning materials and training to meet the needs of teachers and students in the non-formal adult education sector.
Mote Oo is based in Yangon. We also have an office in Mae Sot on the Thai-Myanmar border. We are a small, flexible, community-focused organisation who assist our partner programmes to find the curriculum and training solutions they need.
