MRIGlobal is an independent organization performing contract research for government and industry.

They are one of two entities in the Alliance for Sustainable Energy, LLC, which manages and operates the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Golden, CO, for the Department of Energy. They've managed NREL since its beginning in 1977.

Born out of the desire to bolster the post-war Midwestern economy, their company was established with a mission to supply needed research for industry and to encourage programs using regional resources.
