Mwangaza Action is a Burkinabe organization with a sub regional and international vocation, specialized in Social Mobilization and Community Participation. It was created in November 1995 and officially recognized in February 1996 under receipt N ^o 047 / MAT / SG / DGAT / DLPAJ of 27 February 1996 on the declaration of existence.

Under the new provisions made by the Government of Burkina Faso, including Law No. 064-2015 / CNT of 20/10/2015, Mwangaza Action is recognized by the number 00000116801 of February 17, 2017 bearing receipt of declaration of existence.

Since October 2010, Mwangaza Action is authorized to practice in Niger by Order No. 0728 / MISD / AR / DGAPJ / DLP of October 29, 2010.

"  Mwangaza  " means "clarity or light" in Swahili, the African language with the largest number of speakers (more than 10 million). The headquarters of Mwangaza Action is in Ouagadougou, avenue Tansoaba, rue de la Jeunesse, sector 42.

The day-to-day management of the interventions and in general of the life of Mwangaza Action, is ensured by a permanent central team (Coordination Office). The Coordination Office comprises a technical team composed of:

• 01 Coordinator,
• 02 Program Managers,
• 02 Program Assistants,
• 01 Responsible for monitoring-evaluation and capitalization,
• 01 Finance Officer,
• 01 Accounting Assistant,
• 01 Administrative Assistant.

This technical team is supported by support staff consisting of:

• 01 Driver - mechanic who also serves as a liaison officer;
• 02 Guardians who also support the liaison officer.

Mwangaza Action strengthens this core team with a network of multidisciplinary national and international consultants.
