NARAL Pro-Choice America
NARAL Pro-Choice America
About

Fueled by the horrors of back-alley abortions and a strong conviction that women’s private reproductive-health decisions are theirs and theirs alone, NARAL’s foundational arm gives voice to the 7 in 10 Americans who believe that abortion should be legal.

With more than 1 million activists and supporters representing every state in the union, they are on the front lines of the fight to preserve and expand reproductive freedom and abortion access in the 21st century.

Together, people can shift the culture of shame around these issues and ensure an environment that guarantees every woman the right to informed and empowered choices.

What They Do
> Fight against anti-choice attacks and hold bad actors accountable at the national and state level, while advocating to protect and expand reproductive freedom and abortion access in their country
> Educate and increase awareness of reproductive freedom issues, and how they affect women and families, through projects such as their annual flagship publication, "Who Decides? The Status of Reproductive Rights in the United States"
> Organize, mobilize, and grow their activist and supporter base at the local and national level, leveraging their voices to make sure officials and the courts hear from the people they represent
> Work to shift the cultural discourse around abortion access specifically, and reproductive freedom generally, to end the stigma and shame that hinder women from accessing the services they need

Supporting Policies
They envision a future in which everyone in America has true reproductive freedom and equality. Their focus is on protecting and expanding reproductive rights. But their issues are deeply interconnected with other fights for justice and civil rights. They are proud to be allies to the people and organizations blazing the trail on these related issues.
