Mission: The mission of National Agency of Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring is to constantly monitor water, climate and environment, provide the public with preventive information , and to remind of the potential risks of natural disasters.

Operational Strategic Goals: Based on the "Mongolia Vision-2050" development program, within the framework of the "Government Action Plan for 2020-2024", full use of Mongolia's climate, water resources, nature and favorable weather conditions to intensify economic development, nature and weather prevent potential air disasters and serious environmental pollution, reduce damage to society and economy, and ensure medium-term sustainable development of the country. 

Priorities

The agency will work with the following priorities:

• Organization of monitoring and quality control analysis of water, climate and environment throughout Mongolia, providing users with information promptly, early warning of potential disasters due to dangerous water and weather phenomena;
• Provide, expand and strengthen the capacity of the state network of water, climate and environmental monitoring with unified management and unified methodology;
• Continually conduct the activities of the state network of water, climate and environmental quality monitoring, collect information, ensure technical reliability and deliver it to users promptly, and carry out continuous technical and technological innovation;
• Managing and organizing the creation of water, climate and environment archives and a unified database, serving users with information.
