National Assembly of State Arts Agencies
About

NASAA is the membership organization that serves the nation’s 56 state and jurisdictional arts agencies. They are a national, not-for-profit, nonpartisan association that champions public support for the arts in America. NASAA provides advocacy, research, training and networking services to state arts agencies and their constituents. Their work is driven by a strong belief that the arts are essential to a thriving democracy and that the public, private and nonprofit sectors each have a vital role to play in achieving that vision. Their work doesn’t just benefit state arts agencies—it assists communities, families, artists and arts organizations all over the United States. State arts agencies provide grants and services to 20,000 arts organizations, schools and civic groups in more than 4,400 communities each year. NASAA’s job is to help them do that—to help make the case for those resources and to help state arts agencies serve their citizens in new and innovative ways that nurture the arts in American communities.
