Background

The National Centre for Health Promotion (NCHP) of the Ministry of Health was established in 1994. It consists of Tobacco Control Unit and Alcohol Control Unit, Health Communications, Sanitation and Hygiene Unit, Primary Health Care Unit and Training and Research Unit. NCHP is responsible to provide technical support to and coordination with Health Promotion Unit of Health Provincial Department nationwide.
