About
They are the National Forest Conservation Program for Climate Change Mitigation (PNCBMCC) of the Ministry of Environment (MINAM).
They were created in 2010, through Supreme Decree No. 008-2010-MINAM, in compliance with our commitments as a country to contribute to global efforts against global warming.
Purpose
Contribute to forest conservation, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation and forest degradation and promote the improvement of the quality of life of local people.
Objetive
Conserve 54 million hectares of tropical forests as a contribution to climate change mitigation and the promotion of sustainable development.
As specific objectives they:
