Mission The National Institute of Information of Development (INIDE), has as mission to provide information and element of statistical judgment in a timely and accessible way, to support the decision making and facilitate the formulation and execution of policies and programs of national interest. Vision The institutional vision is to be the governing body that establishes the rules for the achievement of uniform statistics, which conducts research of a methodological and statistical nature aimed at raising the technical and scientific level of the system, which plans and conducts national censuses and surveys. and to prepare, analyze and disseminate statistical data through regular and timely publications. Goals »Reactivate and strengthen the National Statistical System (SEN) in order to improve the capacity to generate statistics, to guide government policies according to the principles of: specialization, rationality, transparency, integration, comparability and sustainability. »Carry out national censuses and surveys of national interest, to update the basic statistical information of the country. »Make available to government entities, civil society, local governments, private companies and other sectors involved in the integral development of the nation, the information generated through the Censuses and Surveys, to support strategic decision-making processes. »Promote the use of information and communication technologies for the modernization of the state. Improve the attention of users, facilitating access to statistical information and developing INIDE's communication with society. »Implement a policy for the development of the human capital of the institution, as a necessary condition to achieve the above objectives.
