"One for all, all for one."
In rural Japan, people have long lived in communities, supporting and helping each other.
In addition to daily farm work, the entire community provided relief and assistance in times of natural disasters, fires, and other disasters. Against this backdrop, the Agricultural Cooperative Association (JA) was established with the goal of working together among farm members to increase agricultural productivity and improve their economic and social status, and to realize the happiness and benefits of farm members through cooperative business activities. JA's
mutual aid business is run autonomously and democratically with this business philosophy of mutual aid (helping each other), and aims to respect humanity and contribute to the creation of local communities.
The members, officers, and employees of JA aim to act based on the core values and principles of the cooperative movement, such as autonomy, independence, participation, democratic management, fairness, and solidarity. With a global perspective, they strive to innovate their organization, business, and management to adapt to environmental changes. Additionally, JA works collaboratively with fellow cooperatives locally, nationally, and internationally to promote a more democratic and fair society.
To achieve these goals, JA commits to the following actions:
Promoting Local Agriculture:
Building Rich Local Communities:
Achieving Collaborative Results:
Operating Based on Fundamental Principles:
Pursuing Meaning in Life:
Through these efforts, JA fulfills its social role as an organization deeply rooted in agriculture and local communities, contributing to the overall well-being of society.
