Overall Goal and Objective:

The overall goal of the strategy is to achieve the following targets by 2022:

• Reduce the adolescent fertility rate to 74 per 1,000.
• Decrease the percentage of women aged 20 to 24 years who were first married or in union before the age of 18 to 25%.

• Ensure that government and development partners prioritize evidence-based activities to achieve the set targets.

• Implement a unified country strategy for the reduction of adolescent pregnancy and child marriage.
• Ensure that government, development partners, and implementing partners align their efforts with this unified strategy.

1. Support Resource Mobilisation:

• Support efforts to mobilize resources required for implementing activities aimed at reducing adolescent pregnancy and child marriage.
• Ensure sufficient funding is available to support the strategy's implementation.

1. Framework for Tracking Performance:

• Develop and implement a framework for tracking the performance of activities related to reducing adolescent pregnancy and child marriage.
• Monitor progress towards achieving the specified targets and adjust strategies as necessary based on performance data.
