For almost 50 years, Neighborcare Health has provided a health care home for their most vulnerable neighbors.
A home is where the heart is, a place that's welcoming, supportive, provides peace of mind. At Neighborcare Health, they believe everyone deserves and needs a place to call their health care home, regardless of income or insurance status. A health care home is where a team of medical, dental and mental health professionals work in collaboration with each patient to develop a personal health improvement plan. It's a place where they encourage long-term relationships with patients, and care for them from birth through the end of their life. No matter which clinic patients visit at Neighborcare Health, they want them all to feel at home.
They are the largest provider of primary medical, dental and behavioral health care services in the Seattle area focusing on low-income and uninsured families and individuals, seniors on fixed incomes, immigrants, and the homeless. Each year they care for about 65,000 patients at their 28 non-profit medical, dental and school-based clinics. They ask everyone to pay what they can, but no one is turned away due to inability to pay. With the help of their partners and donors, they work to make their city a healthier and safer place for everyone.
They treat the whole person, offering medical and dental care, social work and counseling, OB and midwifery, health education and nutrition services. They meet their patients where they are, geographically, culturally, physically and emotionally. Their clinics are located in neighborhoods where health disparities are the greatest, and their care teams, who speak over 40 languages and dialects, are as diverse as their patients.
Neighborcare Health is an FTCA deemed facility.
