n-ost is an international non-profit media NGO founded by freelance foreign correspondents to improve the quality of foreign reporting on Eastern Europe. Their members and partners share the vision of an integrated European media sphere that is transnational and collaborative at its very core. Together, they are on a mission to connect journalists and create opportunities for collaboration, exchange, and reflection. 

As a Media NGO, they strengthen foreign reporting by facilitating transnational research, educating journalists, and by bringing together media workers with differing perspectives into a conversation about themselves and the world.

As an Agency, they deliver stories researched on-location and offer an alternative to the traditional news ticker. They're always aware of the events about which the media reports - and how they choose to do so.

Over 250 journalists and media activists from all over Europe come together in their Network. They combine vast knowledge of their respective countries with thematic expertise, journalistic professionalism, and engagement.
