Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF)
The Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund is a proactive and employee dedicated government institution committed to the welfare of employees in the event of work related accidents and injuries.
The government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in its bid to cater for employees welfare in the event of work related accidents and injuries established the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund as the only Government Institution backed up by law to ensure that the Employees Compensation Scheme is adhered to by all employers of labor.
WHAT THEY DO
They ensure that all employers of labor comply with the Federal Government Initiative to protect and cater for their employees in the event of work related accidents and injuries by making sure that all employers are duly registered with the fund and are up to date with their contribution and they provide safe working environments always.
HOW THEY DO IT
They have a sensitization team of well trained, informed and seasoned enforcement officers that frequently meet with employers to educate them on the numerous benefits of complying with the Employee Compensation Scheme. These officers educate the employers on why they should comply with the government enacted law backed up by the Act 2010.See more
