Mission

The General Directorate for Registries, Notaries and Identification, is the service of the Ministry of Justice and Labor, whose mission is to ensure technical support in the design, implementation and evaluation of policies and measures relating to registration, notary, civil identification services, with a view to ensuring the provision of services to citizens and companies in the scope of civil identification and civil registration, property registration, automobile registration, commercial registration, registration of legal persons, within the scope of nationality and within the scope of notary, pursuant to the Decree -Law No. 47/2016, of 27 September, which establishes the structure, organization and operating rules of the Ministry of Justice and Labor.
