The Free Zone of Nouadhibou was created on January 2nd, 2013, by the Government of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, on the orientation of the President of the Republic , His Excellency Mr. Mohamed OULD ABDEL AZIZ. The Zone is located in a strategic geographical site, at the crossroads of civilizations and continents. Customs duties are banned in the territory concerned and the establishment of businesses is facilitated by the establishment of the Single Window. The Free Zone of Nouadhibou is a priority economic zone inserted in the socio-economic and environmental framework of the region in which it is located. It is under the direction of the Free Zone Authority of Nouadhibou (AN-ZF).
