Nuup is a non-profit social organization whose purpose is to inform, promote collaborations and transparency among the different actors in the agri-food sector to generate market access opportunities for small-scale producers.
It was born as a collaboration experiment in 2015 after identifying that there is a large gap that prevents the development of business models that work for both small-scale producers, as well as companies and their consumers.
Nuup drives new collaborative work models and develop data solutions so that production and market information flows between small-scale producers and buyers.
They achieve this by working hand in hand with large companies, NGOs working in the field and small-scale producer organizations throughout the country and in different value chains.
Nuup facilitates access to information by creating digital tools to collect, manage and visualize data, generating market access opportunities for small-scale producers. They research and develop a deep understanding of the operation and dynamics of agricultural value chains. They identify and accompany new alliances between buyers, producer organizations, NGOs, social entrepreneurs, and even consumers. They design and prepare spaces to bring together actors and perspectives that rarely cross paths. They accompany and offer follow-up to the emergence of new ideas and the construction of collective proposals.See more
