Nyanza, Rift Valley and Western Kenya (NYARWEK) network was formed in 2009 as an LGBTI coalition. NYARWEK Network is officially registered as LET GOOD BE TOLD IN US. The headquarters based in Nyanza to advocate for the rights of the LGBTI in Nyanza, Rift Valley and western Kenya with a view to build capacities of its members, integrate views and advocate for their rights.
NYARWEK mandate is to coordinate, network and link activities of the member groups to enable us advocate for the rights and give voice for the LGBTIQ in rural. pre-urban and urban by integrating, collating views for lobbying and advocating for its members.
Inclusivity: They acknowledge the diversity that exists within the society and live with the principle of subsidiarity in diversity and collective responsibility.
Integrity: They practice trust, fairness and faithfulness in all the organization’s undertakings.
Professionalism: They are committed to effectiveness and efficiency while performing responsibilities and duties to attain expected outcomes.
Respect: They believe that no one person has monopoly of knowledge. They shall therefore, promote diversity and teamwork in all undertakings.
Social justice: They affirm that all persons should enjoy rights and freedoms regardless of their, race, religion, tribe or sexual orientation.
Collaboration and networking: They believe in collaboration, partnership and networking with other like-minded organizations and government institutions.
