The Office of Planning and Budget (OPP) is an executing unit of the Presidency of the Republic. One of its main tasks consists in advising the Executive Power in the definition of the Government's economic and social strategy and in the formulation of the national and departmental plans, programs and policies consistent with it.

The OPP has proposed to work in an articulated manner with the different institutions of the State, the academia, the private sector and organized civil society in the formulation of future scenarios that serve as an input for the preparation of a National Development Strategy, Uruguay 2050.
