Olof Palme International Center
Olof Palme International Center
About

The Olof Palme International Center was founded in 1992 by The Swedish Social Democratic Party, The Swedish Trade Union Confederation, and The Swedish Cooperative Union. The Board consists of representatives from the member organisations. The Chairperson is Wanja Lundy-Wedin and the Secretary General is Jens Orback.

The Palme Center works in the spirit of Olof Palme for democracy, human rights and peace. They cooperate with people and organisations throughout the world, in nations such as Burma, South Africa, Palestine, and the countries in the Western Balkans.

Through their development projects, they seek to empower people to change their societies and thereby their own lives. Women, youth, and grassroots activists are our main target groups.
The Swedish labour movement’s extensive international network enables cooperation with global partners who share their values.
