GOAL

To develop an optimized and reliable rail network in Oman that will connect to the GCC railway network and provide advanced transport capabilities that can place the Sultanate among the top global logistics powerhouses and secure its place as a vital regional and international trade hub.

The domestic rail network will connect to other railway services in the region through a regional network built with other GCC countries. The 2,135-kilometer rail network will provide the key ports of Sohar, Duqm and Salalah with easy and invaluable access to GCC and world markets.

VISION

Establishing a solid and efficient rail network system bolsters the logistics industry’s share of the GDP and positions Oman as the leading regional logistics gateway.

MISSION

Provide safe, reliable and competitive rail-based logistics solutions centred on well-established econometric analyses, value engineering and operationality, developing a rail network as a cornerstone of sustainable economic development and urban expansion.
