ASMADE is a Burkina Faso association. It was created in 1994 by a group of development agents to help improve the living and working conditions of people in Burkina Faso. These development agents, through their position as intermediaries between development aid agencies and grassroots communities, have noted a gap between the real needs of the population and the programs planned in advance by the structures of development. support and which often did not provide opportunities for rehabilitation.
Through its philosophy and intervention approach, ASMADE has chosen to bring its expertise and support to the populations to identify their problems and to reflect with them on the actions and strategies of implementation taking into account the own resources and the external input necessary for the implementation of the said actions.
Since its creation, ASMADE has been consolidating its credit in the national institutional landscape as a structure acting to promote access to basic social services (Education, Health, Food) for disadvantaged populations. It stands out in its actions of health promotion, social protection, support to the empowerment of individuals and groups. Always present on development sites, the NGO continues its dynamic of promoting endogenous efforts and in the fight against poverty in general. His intervention is based on organizational support, information, training and education. It uses tools and strategies that emphasize participatory approaches and considers gender as a lever for development.
