ONG Rescate is a Spanish non-profit association dedicated since 1960 to serve refugees, victims of conflicts, violence and natural disasters in their countries of origin and destination, paying special attention to the most vulnerable, women and children.
ONG Rescate develops projects inside and outside Spain, with activities aimed both to cover the needs of refugees and those in forced migration, as well as to alleviate the situations of the countries of origin and develop awareness campaigns and development education.
The lines of action of NGO Rescate are three:
Direct attention in Spain to refugees or applicants for international protection through programs of reception, psychological, social, labor and integration support, specialized in asylum for reasons of gender or sexual orientation.
International Cooperation in countries that suffer or have suffered wars or that have refugee or displaced populations, affected by conflicts or natural disasters. We are currently developing projects in the Middle East and Africa, focusing on the assistance and training of women and children.
Awareness and Education for Development in order to increase awareness of the reality of refugees inside and outside Spain, and promote support for asylum, tolerance and coexistence of Spanish society.
In 2018, NGO Rescate has worked in 9 countries, benefiting about 470,000 people.
ONG Rescate has been declared a Public Utility Association since 2002.
