Open Doors supports Christians who are persecuted or oppressed for their faith. Open Doors brings Bibles and Christian literature to countries that have been closed for this purpose. In addition, Open Doors provides training and provides the organization with practical help, such as trauma care and emergency assistance.
The work of Open Doors
Open Doors works in around fifty countries worldwide. In addition, Open Doors wants to involve Western Christians in the persecuted church. This is why Open Doors holds special campaigns, organizes trips to closed countries and gives Open Doors presentations throughout the Netherlands to tell the stories of persecuted Christians.
The Body of Christ, under the (threat of) limitation and / or prosecution because of his faith in Jesus Christ, strengthen, equip and encourage the world evangelism, and intercession:
by providing bibles, Bible study aids and other means of communication, framework training and practical assistance where necessary;
by preparing the Body of Christ in threatened and unstable areas for possible persecution and suffering;
by enlightening the Body of Christ in the free world and motivating oneself to identify with threatened and persecuted Christians and to actively help them.
Open Doors does this because it believes that when one member suffers, all members suffer (1 Corinthians 12:26) and because she believes in the mission (Matthew 28:19) and that all doors are open to the Gospel.
Open Doors is an interdenominational foundation that supports Christians in the world, regardless of their religious affiliation. Open Doors endorses the apostolic creed. Open Doors is a member of MissieNederland.
