Method
To achieve its goal put the OHFR the following resources:
Setting up an infrastructure allowing dentists on a regular basis to visit the dental clinics. This contributes to the immediate improvement of dental care in rural communities. The existing infrastructure of the "health centers" (health centers) is used for this purpose. Not only curative care deserves attention, but certainly the preventive care.
Providing information on dental hygiene helps to prevent dental and general health problems. A dental training of local dental therapists working in the health centers, is a prerequisite for structural improvement of the dental care of the Rwandan population.
The education begins in schools. With education programs make the children acquainted with the oral care. The OHFR made a song in the local language Kinyarwanda, which the necessity of brushing explains. The OHFR have the song recorded on DVD and will be shown to the children during the DDP.
