The Technical Organization for the Administration of Sanitation Services (OTASS) is attached to the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) of Peru.
OTASS provides technical assistance to the companies that provide sanitation services and other urban providers, in order to contribute to the improvement of the management and administration of these services and therefore to the improvement of the population's quality of life.
Institutional policy
Within the framework of the National Sanitation Policy, which is mandatory for all three levels of government and for the providers of sanitation services, the Technical Agency for the Administration of Sanitation Services declares Priority Objectives (OP):
OP.01 Promote the quality and sustainability of the providers of sanitation services.
OP.02 Promote territorial integration between providers of sanitation services and operational, commercial and administrative processes.
General guidelines for achieving the priority objectives:
LIN.01 Efficiently manage the sanitation systems and infrastructure and the resources of the sanitation service providers.
LIN.02 Standardize programs, plans, directives and instruments for sanitation service providers.
LIN.03 Encourage the adoption of good corporate governance practices by the providers of sanitation services that guarantee effective communication with internal, external users and society.
LIN.04 Strengthen mechanisms that guarantee public integrity and access to information in the providers of sanitation services.
