OrionCom is a provider of Internet access dedicated to professionals.
OrionCom has four Local Loops Radios (BLR) on Kinshasa, Lubumbashi, Goma and Matadi.
Other cities are being rolled out to reach nearly 20 BLRs by the next few months.
They are composed of different high points, allowing to connect their customers in links FH (Beams Hertzien). These systems are reliable and much more expensive than VSAT equipment. However, the entire DRC can be connected through a VSAT antenna, in direct connection with a satellite.
OrionCom works in Band C. This band offers a lot of advantage in terms of security and dedicated or shared rate guarantee.
In addition, OrionCom, for smaller entities whose connection needs are simpler and more limited, has chosen other partners to offer a KU Band technology. The latter makes it possible to complete the global offer with competitive costs in both installation and operating costs.
