The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute is the research arm of The Ottawa Hospital - one of Canada’s largest learning and research hospitals with over 1,100 beds, approximately 12,000 staff and annual budget of over $1.2 billion. The Institute ranks fourth out of more than 600 Canadian hospitals for competitive, peer-reviewed grants from the prestigious Canadian Institutes of Health Research.

The focus on research and learning helps develop new and innovative ways to treat patients and improve care. As a multi-campus hospital, affiliated with the University of Ottawa, they deliver specialized care to the Eastern Ontario region, but our techniques and research discoveries are adopted around the world. The Institute engages the community at all levels to support the vision for better patient care.
