The Pacific Council is a foreign affairs organization. We are more than a think tank or a membership organization: they work to make the U.S. West Coast a foreign policy powerhouse.
The Pacific Council is an organization of people. We are business and civic leaders, big thinkers, policy wonks, and aspiring leaders with a commitment to international affairs.
We know that foreign policy extends beyond the sum of actions taken by policymakers and diplomats. More and more, global thinkers in technology, entertainment, media, business, education, health, science, and the arts serve as brokers of the U.S. relationship with the world.
Those on the U.S. West Coast are at the front lines. Their ideas and actions change the global playing field, discourse, and policy.
The Impact
The Pacific Council’s mission is to build the vast potential of the West Coast for impact on global issues, discourse, and policy. They strive to represent the range of West Coast global policy interests and perspectives and cultivate an informed and civically-engaged membership that contributes at local, national, and global levels. Their work leads to a stronger West Coast culture of international engagement and improved policy formation and implementation in key issue areas.
The Pacific Council can define its impact in two ways: through and for members, and through special initiatives, which allow members to get involved in issue-based projects that lead to improved global policy.
