PADet is an indigenous, not-for-profit, non-governmental humanitarian organization established in 1998 by a group of voluntary development professionals working in government and non-governmental organizations. PADet was established with a view to serving the poorest, most vulnerable and marginalized segments of the population, particularly children, youth and women. Over the years, PADet has grown to serve its target beneficiaries through participatory development programs focusing on sexual and reproductive health, HIV/AIDS prevention and care, and food security/livelihood. PADet has grown beyond merely creating awareness to offer more permanent solutions, and in turn creates hope for the poor.
PADet has three priority areas: Sexual and Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS Prevention and Care, and Food security/Livelihood Promotion.
PADet is currently working in four national regional states and once city administration namely Oromia, Amhara, Afar, South Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Region (SNNPR), and Addis Ababa.
