The Parkinson's Association consists of 15 circles spread across the country. The association is built up as a democratic, member-led association and is led by a main board as the supreme authority. The main board consists of the national chairman, the deputy chairman, the 15 circuit chairmen as well as up to 4 external persons as well as extra representatives from the largest circles based on a distribution key. The day-to-day management policy is handled by a seven-member executive committee.
In addition, the Executive Board sets up a research council that advises the association's management on research and treatment issues.
