Founded in 2012, Partners for Global Research and Development, LLC (PGRD), is an 8(a) certified small business that specializes in the provision of services in international development, monitoring and evaluation, training and technical assistance, and medical research. Built upon formal Small Business Administration (SBA) and USAID-approved mentor-protégé agreements, PGRD is an SBA-approved joint venture that supports three USAID contracts around the globe.
PGRD uses evidence-based methods in evaluation, capacity building, gender, and policy development to achieve results in public health, governance, and natural resource management for clients. Adept at identifying and recruiting exceptional talent to field assignments in the United States and abroad, PGRD maintains a database of subject matter experts whose breadth of technical expertise has supported USAID-funded activities on five continents. PGRD’s expert staff and consultants include experienced local partners providing maximum knowledge and responsiveness to local issues and cultural considerations.
Projects
Pacific-American Climate Fund
The Pacific-American Climate Fund (PACAM) provides grants to civil society organizations throughout the Pacific Rim in support of climate change adaptation measures. PGRD manages the grants facility on behalf of USAID to strengthen the resiliency of vulnerable communities in Pacific island countries.
Child Blindness
PGRD and its partner, the International Eye Foundation, are implementing the USAID-funded Child Blindness Project, contributing to the global effort to reduce blindness and visual impairment in children.
Peru Evaluations
Designing and executing evaluation studies and assessments of USAID/Peru programs across a broad range of sectors such as health, agriculture, and democracy and governance, PGRD is providing USAID the data and evidence they need to make hard decisions.
