Institut Pasteur Côte d'Ivoire (IPCI) is a national public industrial and commercial (EPIC) established in 1972 .

It is under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Since 1978 , he belongs to the Institut Pasteur international network (RIIP).

This scientific network, which is based on moral and ethical values, has for mission, scientific research at the service of human health.

The IPCI puts its expertise and technical expertise at the service of the Ivorian populations and those of West and Central Africa.

The Pasteur Institute's mission  (decree N ° 91-645):

  • The study of transmissible and immune diseases of man
  • Prevention and prophylaxis of these diseases in collaboration with health services and all users of the products of medical research
  • The study and research of natural substances used for medical and pharmaceutical purposes
  • Integration and training of researchers, technicians and laboratory staff specialized in medical research and prevention
  • The provision of research services, medical analyzes, examinations and advice for the benefit of external public and private partners, in the fields of its competence
