Pearls Care Initiative (PCI) is a non-profit, nongovernmental organization established to bring smiles and hope to vulnerable members of the society especially women and children. PCI was founded in Benue State of Nigeria in June 2006 and is registered with the State Ministry of Women Affairs and the Corporate Affairs Commission in 2009.

Pearls Care Initiative operates in the two States of the north central geopolitical zone, Benue and Niger State, with four offices, one in Minna, and three in Makurdi. In Benue PCI has an office in Makurdi town, Utonkon Ado LGA and Obagagi Agatu LGA which was temporally closed down due to the Fulani crises.

They are also registered with the following international bodies, Star Foundation, Stop TB Partnership, European Citizen Action Service (ECAS), Bill and Melinda Gate Foundation.

They complement Government’s efforts by reaching out to women and children at the grass root level, by addressing education, health, environment, work and violence.

They bridge the development gap by empowering individual and women groups morally, socially, and economically, bringing about change in the society.

PCI serves women and children through a variety of programs, including seminars, and workshops, They believe that women are the rallying point of the society, thus developing their capacity and empowering them potentially has multiplier effect on society in general.

They are willing to learn and to partner with other NGOs local or international to effect a positive change in their society.
