Peoples Development Organization

People's Development Organization is a civil society, non-govermental, non profit Organization working for the upliftment of deprived and vulnerable communities of South Punjab Pakistan. We have been focoused on poverty alleviation through capacity building and advocacy.

Our mission is socio-economic development and promotion of harmony and justice in the society through mobilization and participatory advancement.

Peoples Development Organization is situated in the comparatively new colonies that were inhabited during early 1980’s. These colonies are situated about 10 km from the main city, in a place called Chah Kotla Wala, Union Council 54 of Multan, Pakistan. The area was previously used for cultivation. These settlements were not well planned and lack basic infrastructure.

Objectives

• To provide basic education and health facilities to the deprived segments of the society.
   
• Poverty alleviation through self-employment activities and entrepreneurship skills especially for women.
   
• Educate the community in respect of basic rights, peace, social and religious harmony.
   
• To establish a resource center where the people can get information and consultancy to build their capacity.
