They are a humanitarian institution, auxiliary to the powers of the State; integrated by volunteers and volunteers in a network of branches nationwide. They base their action on the Principles and Values of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. They help to prevent, alleviate and mitigate the human suffering of vulnerable people and communities in all circumstances, promoting improvements in their quality of life and strengthening the development of their abilities.
By 2020 the Peruvian Red Cross is an organization recognized for being made up of volunteers and volunteers, a leader in the strengthening of vulnerable communities and in the management of disaster and crisis risks, and is managed in an efficient, sustainable and with good practices of government.
