Mission and Vision

Through Petron Foundation Inc. (PFI), our CSR arm, we launch and maintain various initiatives that address national concerns in essential areas such as education, environment, health and human services, and other advocacies in partnership with the communities, local and national government units, like-minded organizations, and our employee-volunteers.

Ultimately, our goal is to contribute to a brighter future for Filipinos by fueling H.O.P.E. (Helping the Filipino Children and Youth Overcome Poverty through Education), our flagship program in education.

Doing good and telling it well

We believe in the need to encourage more CSR champions from within and outside our company.

Advocacy plays a big part in keeping CSR an essential part of our business operation. We continue to be part of the annual celebration of the Corporate Social Responsibility Week, organized by the League of Corporate Foundations (LCF).

Each December, Petron employees make it a tradition to give Tulong Aral ng Petron scholars a memorable Christmas event through Project Joy. Together, they engage in a day of games, prizes, and gifts as they celebrate the holiday season.

Intrinsic to the success of all these undertakings is sharing our treasure trove of good stories to every stakeholder; thus, we regularly feature them in our communication materials.

Since 2009, we have published a Sustainability Report that details our economic, environmental, and social performances. This publication conforms to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3 Guidelines. Our 2009 Sustainability Report was the first by a Philippine company to attain a B+ level under the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3 Guidelines, while our 2010 Report, also at the B+ level, received a GRI Application Level Check. This affirmation makes Petron the first Philippine oil company to receive a GRI Application Level Check using the GRI G3 Guidelines.
