Industrial Waste Exchange Program
The Industrial Waste Exchange Program (IWEP) encourages the exchange of waste of one industry by another industry for re-use or recycling. IWEP maintains a database of waste generators and waste buyers/recyclers that can be potentially matched. IWEP participants have the option of being featured in the quarterly publication of the PBE (Business and Environment magazine) and in the IEM Knowledge Network. Environmental Technology Referral Scheme
The Environmental Technology Referral Scheme (ETRS) aims to match technology providers and users. ETRS reviews a wide collection of local and foreign technology databases that are included in an inventory that serves as a resource to companies and organizations needing information on environmental technology options.
Industrial Environmental Management Knowledge Network
Over the past thirteen years, the PBE has been helping local industries to become aware of their impact on the environment and their responsibility for protecting the resources on which their own survival depends. PBE has done so by providing business with environment-related information; acting as intermediary between the private sector, business and community; networking opportunities and linkages.
