Physicians for Peace Philippines is an affiliate of Physicians for Peace based in Norfolk Virginia. Physicians for Peace Philippines changes lives through its programs on training and sharing the expertise of our Experts in various medical fields and does clinical care by way of helping amputees walk again, restores eyesight of nearly blind,  does preventive measures by early detection of eye impairments of children in schools, heals the emotional and physical scars of burn victims and provides intervention and clinical care to those who are hearing impaired. Physicians for Peace Philippines has learned and recognized that they have reached this far because of the spirit of volunteerism of many of their members from the medical field and its allied profession and the partnerships they have developed with the government and non-government organizations. Very recently, Physicians for Peace Philippines has been asked by UNICEF to be their partner in the development of a package that will protect and deliver healthcare for children with disabilities on mobility, vision, hearing and neurodevelopment, through Philhealth. At present Physicians for Peace Philippines continuess to visit areas in the country needing their services on prostheses and  mobility devices through their Walking Free and Beyond Program, implement their Save the Sight of children in different Public Elementary Schools through their Seeing Clearly Program, and conduct surgeries in areas where they are invited and where surgical facilities are appropriate through their Multi-Specialty and Surgery Program. Physicians for Peace Philippines also does Burn Care & Rehabilitation to burn victims at their Philippine General Hospital (PGH) Clinic while they continue to create awareness on the importance of Burn Care Rehabilitation through conferences and workshops. So far, they have covered  Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Physicians for Peace Philippines encourages corporations and other Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) to co sponsor any of their program to be able to reach more and change more lives.
