About
Pilares is a foundation that has been working with families living in villas in the City of Buenos Aires for 10 years, offering opportunities to promote their integral development. We want our programs to be “pillars” that allow them to strengthen themselves and provide them with tools that generate opportunities.
Today we work with 500 children and their families in Villa 21-24, Barracas, and Villa 1-11-14, Bajo Flores, through four social programs: the CONIN Barracas Center, the Early Childhood Center "Pilarcitos", the Early Childhood Center "Blooming" and the Making LuPA Program.
Pilares has an interdisciplinary team consisting of 53 people and more than 80 local, foreign and university volunteers that enrich the space and strengthen the encounter with the families of the neighborhood.
