Pioneer Works is a platform for artists of all backgrounds to exhibit and create through residency, art programs and exhibition platforms.

Technology

As technology is an integral tool to creating new forms of art making and creative problem solving they believe it is key to make new technologies accessible to the community. Activated by public programs, regular classes, and a dedicated tech residency, Pioneer Works is a space where visionary practitioners, technologists, data-visualizations experts, and artists have the opportunity to test new methods of production and creation.

Music

Pioneer Works is committed to experimentation in music and sound through artist residencies, recording platforms, and performance programs. Together, these resources are offered to musicians with the belief that free space, time to practice, and opportunities to perform and collaborate will evolve and expand their practice.

Science

At Pioneer Works, they value the cultural impact of scientific thinking, discovery, and irrepressible curiosity. The integration of science is essential for the full expression of a cultural organism. Director of Sciences Janna Levin brings visiting scholars and some of the most influential and creative scientific minds into the community to explore unsolved quandaries and engage in vivid public conversations.

Residency

Initiated in 2012, the Pioneer Works residency program was developed to provide free space where creative practitioners across a variety of disciplines can work in close proximity, sharing energies and ideas.
