Piraeus Bank in Ukraine (the official name - joint stock company "Piraeus Bank ICB") is a part of the international banking group Piraeus Bank Group (Piraeus Financial Holdings S.A). Headquartered in Athens, Greece, with around 10 K employees, Piraeus Bank Group offers a full range of financial products and services to approximately 5.5 mn customers. Total assets of the Group amounted to €71,6 bn, net loans to €39.6 bn and customer deposits to €49.6 bn on December 31, 2020.
Piraeus Bank is today the leading Bank in Greece with 30% market share in terms of customer loans and 29% in terms of customer deposits.
Piraeus Bank Group started operating in Ukraine in September 2007 after the acquisition of the International Commercial Bank (ICB). JSC "Piraeus Bank ICB” is the legal successor of International Commercial Bank. Regional network of Piraeus Bank in Ukraine covers Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Odessa, Kharkiv and Cherkasy regions.
The assets of Piraeus Bank in Ukraine make mearly UAH 3 billion, deposits of individuals - UAH 1 billion, loan and investment portfolio - UAH 2 billion, the bank's capital – UAH 2 billion.
The Bank is authorized by the Pension Fund of Ukraine to make payments of pensions and financial assistance. The Bank is a member of Fund of Guaranteeing the Deposits of Individuals and Forum of Leading International Financial institutions (FLIFI).
