Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH)

Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) provides aid to people suffering from armed conflicts and natural disasters. Their mission is to make the world a better place by alleviating human suffering and promoting humanitarian values. Operating since 1992, Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) has become one of the largest and most active non-governmental, non-profit humanitarian organisation based out of Central Europe. Rooted in human rights and driven by the guiding principles of humanitarianism, impartiality, independence and neutrality, Polish Humanitarian Action strives to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable communities during all phases of humanitarian crises. PAH implements comprehensive WASH, FSL, NFI, Education, Shelter and Protection solutions in difficult to reach areas around the world. KEY ACTIVITIES: WASH Boreholes drilling and infrastructure rehabilitation Establishment of local water committees Hygiene promotion WASH kits distribution Water trucking Waste management FSL Food assistance distribution Support for agriculture and small business recovery Vocational trainings SHELTER/ NFI Support for people living in camps Emergency shelters Distributions of NFI packages and mosquito nets EDUCATION Building schools Providing access to WASH infrastructure at schools Raising awareness among students on hygiene issues PROTECTION Psychosocial support Legal assistance Child-friendly spaces Mainstreaming protection Other areas: Advocacy Global Education Social Campaigns KEY NUMBERS: Till now, PAH has worked in 47 countries and reached with aid 10,8 million people Where PAH currently works: South Sudan Somalia Ukraine Iraq Yemen Kenya
